Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) is an engineering and manufacturing company. It is an integrated power plant equipment manufacturer, which is engaged in the designing, engineering, manufacturing, constructing, testing, commissioning and servicing a range of products and services for various sectors.
 
The project work of 4,000 megawatt (5X800 MW) plant of Telangana State Power Generation Corporation Ltd. at Yadadri will start after clearance from the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, reported a leading news agency.
 
Meanwhile, at Rs 133.30 per share at 1208 hours on BSE, BHEL was trading lower by 2.5%. It hit a high of Rs 137.50 and a low of Rs 132.40 so far during the day.
 
Delivering around 8% returns in a period of one year, the stock has underperformed both BSE Sensex and BSE Capital Goods index over the same period. Its closest peer is Cummins India.
