Sensex , Nifty close flat with positive bias, Axis Bank top Sensex gainer

Axis Bank was the top Sensex gainer on Thursday's trading session, gaining almost 3.56 per cent at the close. Tata Steel gained 2.85 per cent and Bharti Airtel gained 1.68 per cent.

Kotak Mahindra Bank was the top Sensex loser, sliding nearly 2 per cent, followed by Tata Motors which was down 1.40 per cent, while SBI slipped 1.39 per cent.
Sensex closed at 30857.52, up by 23.20 points or 0.08 per cent. Nifty closed at 9504.10 level, up by 12.85 points or 0.14 per cent.
BSE Metal index was the top sectoral gainer, up by 2.15 per cent. BSE Realty inched up 1.01 per cent, while BSE Telecom index was up by nearly 1 per cent.
BSE Healthcare was down by 0.09 per cent, while BSE Bankex slipped 0.08 per cent, while BSE Auto index retraced by 0.03 per cent.
The markets traded volatile throughout the session owing to the F&O expiry session. The market majorly traded in the green throughout the day on positive global cues.
