European markets moved lower during Thursday’s trade as Federal Reserve released minutes on Wednesday which hinted that the central bank was split on how inflation might affect the pace of interest rate hike.

Minutes from US Federal Reserve revealed on Wednesday that policymakers are divided on the pace of interest rate hikes and several members showed concern about the impact on markets.

The pan-European Stoxx 600 was 0.22% lower with most sectors trading on negative ground.
Meanwhile, FTSE, DAX, CAC and IBEX35 traded in the negative territory slipping 0.03%, 0.16%, 0.40% and 0.52%, respectively.

On Thursday, the ECB will release accounts of its latest monetary policy meeting at 12.30 p.m. London time.

US President Donald Trump is in Poland where he will meet NATO allies. The meeting takes place at a time when the US announced that it is ready to apply force to end the North Korea’s nuclear programme.
