RBI Governor Urjit Patel says demonetised notes still being counted

The RBI Governor had appeared before a Parliamentary panel for the second time. The Committee is headed by senior Congress leader M Veerappa Moily.

Urjit Patel,the RBI Governor has told the parliamentary panel that he is not in a position to give a figure of the scrapped currency that has come back into the system as the deposited banned notes were still being counted.
 
The RBI Governor had appeared before a Parliamentary panel for the second time. The Committee is headed by senior Congress leader M Veerappa Moily.
 
While interacting with a national news agency, Moily said that the committee will present its report on demonetisation in the monsoon session of the Parliament and that the RBI Governor will not be called again on the note ban issue.
 
The Parliament's monsoon session is scheduled to start on July 17 and is expected to conclude on August 11.
