JSW Steel shares decline by over 2%

JSW steel shares declined by over 2% as the JSW Group reported on Wednesday that the group is looking for acquisition opportunities among the troubled steel companies.

During Thursday’s trading session, JSW steel shares declined by over 2% as the JSW Group reported on Wednesday that the group is looking for acquisition opportunities among the troubled steel companies.
 
As per a leading news agency, they also mentioned that the group will file a revised proposal to acquire Monnet Ispat and Energy Ltd, Parth Jindal, and they may also consider Bhushan Steel and Essar Steel if offered at the “right price”.
 
The group is eyeing to raise its capacity to 40 million tonnes from 16 million tonnes over 8 to 10 years.
 
The stock was trading at Rs 215.50 on BSE at 1323 hours. It opened at Rs 220.35. It touched its intraday high and low at Rs 220.40 and Rs 214.25 respectively. 
 
The stock attracted total traded volume of 23,72,598 shares and traded value of Rs 5,143.32 lakh on NSE at 1334 hours.
