Bank Nifty touches 25k mark

Bank Nifty touched the historic mark of 25k for the first time ever during Thursday’s trade on the NSE. Yes Bank was the top gainer of the index and was trading up by 4.78% at 1146 hours on Thursday on the NSE.
 
Nifty Bank was trading at 24,983 level, up 312.30 points or 1.27%.
 
Other major gainers of the Nifty Bank index were Indusind Bank, IDFC Bank, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, Punjab National Bank, and SBIN. Federal Bank was the lone player trading in the red territory and was trading down by 0.70% at Rs 114.20 per share.
 
Bank Nifty has increased almost 42% in the last one year. The index has touched all time high at 25,016.70. It has 52-week low at 17,606.90.
 
Meanwhile, Nifty was trading at 10,103 level, up 82.35 or 82% and the benchmark index BSE Sensex was trading at 32,620, up 237.75 points or 0.72%.
