Buzzing stock: Va Tech Wabag bags repeat order in Bangalore

Va Tech Wabag has won a repeat order worth Rs 386 crore from the Bangalore Water Supply and Sewage Board (BWSSB). 

Va Tech Wabag has won a repeat order worth Rs 386 crore from the Bangalore Water Supply and Sewage Board (BWSSB). The order is of designing, building and operating for a 150 MLD sewage treatment plan (STP) at K&C valley in Bangalore.

The company will operate and maintain this plant for 10 years post the construction of Sewage Treatment Plan. 

Company’s AGM is scheduled on July 27, 2017 i.e. today. Also, meeting of the Board of Directors is scheduled on August 9, 2017, to consider and approve the un-audited financial results of the company for Q1FY18.

Today, its stock opened at Rs 609.95, showing an increase of 2.3 percent from its previous closing of Rs 596.35. In the morning session, it has touched intra-day high of Rs 613.90.

Earlier this month, Va Tech Wabag Ltd. has signed an MOU with IIT Kanpur to develop a few sustainable villages on the river banks of Ganga as a part of Swachh Bharat Mission by Government of India.

Va Tech Wabag Ltd. is engaged in design, supply, installation, construction and operational management of drinking water, waste water treatment and desalination plants.
