Reliance Capital posts over 7%; strong earnings a booster dose

Reliance Capital saw its shares surge by more than 7% at Rs 706.40 per share on BSE on the back of strong financials. 

Reliance Capital saw its shares surge by more than 7% at Rs 706.40 per share on BSE on the back of strong financials. The stock on NSE attracted a traded volume of 72,99,976 shares and a traded value of 50,733.37 lakh.
 
The stock, on a yearly basis, has given 60.55% returns. The stock also outperformed BSE mid-cap index and Nifty Financial Services.
 
The company has been maintaining  a dividend payout of 35.45% .
 
Reliance Capital reported its standalone Q1 FY18 result on Thursday wherein the NII for the quarter surged 10.8% yoy to Rs 318 crore versus Rs 287 crore in the previous year’s corresponding quarter.

This was largely due to 53% yoy rise in operational revenue to Rs 772 crore in Q1 FY18. Net profit for the quarter increased by 13% yoy to Rs 190 crore in Q1 FY18 as against Rs 168 crore in Q1 FY17.
 
On a consolidated basis the total assets of the company reached Rs 87,465 crore in Q1 FY17, an increase of 26% yoy.
