IL&FS emerges lowest bidder for Zojila tunnel project

IL&FS on Friday bid for the National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation (NHIDCL) for construction, operation and maintenance of 2-Bi Lane Bi-Directional Zojila Tunnel with parallel escape tunnel on the Srinagar-Leh section in the state of Jammu and Kashmir on engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) mode.

The company has emerged as the lowest bidder for the project, quoting an amount of Rs 4,899.42 crore.
The project is to be constructed within a period of seven years.
IL&FS Transportation Networks is a surface transportation infrastructure company. The company is engaged in developing, designing, operating, maintaining and facilitating surface transportation infrastructure projects across India and overseas.
Meanwhile, the stock ended in negative territory on Friday’s trade, slipping 1.86% at Rs 89.50 per share.
