European bourses opened lower in the morning hours on Thursday as investors monitored further earnings reports and reacted to the Dow Jones industrial average breaking the 22,000 barrier for the first time in its 121-year history.

FTSE 100 index was trading at 7,394 level, lower by 17.14 points, CAC 40 index was trading at 5,100 level, down by 5.19 points, while the German DAX was trading at 12,144 level, down by 37.12 points.
The pan-European Stoxx 600 was trading down by 0.19 % with almost all the sectors.
On Wednesday, the Dow Jones for the first time surpassed the 22,000 mark, supported by more than expected earnings from the world's most valuable company, Apple.
On the financial front, Adidas, BMW and Credit Agricole are among the major companies who are going to release their latest figures on Thursday.
The Bank of England's Monetary Policy Committee is also likely to announce its latest interest rate decision on Thursday.
