Cummins India Ltd. reported its results for the quarter ended March 31, 2017 during market hours today. The standalone numbers were largely strong due to robust top-line growth.

Total sales for this quarter, Q4FY17, came in at Rs. 1387 crore. This represents a 11.97 per cent sequential increase and 5.28 per cent YoY increase.
Operating profit (EBIT) for the recently concluded quarter amounted to Rs. 142.1 crore and the EBIT margin stood at 10.25 per cent.
In terms of the bottom-line, the company reported a PAT figure of Rs. 181.46 crore which represents a sequential QoQ increase of 14.56 per cent and a YoY increase of 0.2 per cent.
Cummins India Limited is a manufacturer of diesel and natural gas engines, generator sets and related services. The Company operates through two segments: Engines and Lubes. Its three businesses include engine business, power systems Business and distribution business.
The company's stock which opened for trading at Rs. 995 on the BSE, has been trading flat to negative after the results at Rs.988 mark at 1245 hrs.
