HDFC Twins and ICICI Bank together contribute to 50 per cent of Sensex fall; Bharti Airtel top Sensex gainer

BSE Sensex tumbled on Wednesday by 0.74 per cent or 238.86 points to close at 32237 levels. Nifty managed to close above 10000 levels at 100013, down by 67.85 points or 0.67 per cent.

Bharti Airtel was the top Sensex gainer, gaining more than 2 per cent. Reliance Industries Limited closed up by 1.38 per cent, Bajaj Auto climbed 1.14 per cent.
Lupin was down by 3.80 per cent, Coal India slipped 3.36 per cent even as SBI closed down by 2.24 per cent.
BSE Small cap index closed down by 0.95 per cent or 152 points at 15911 levels. BSE Mid cap index slipped by 0.50 per cent to close at 15335 levels.
