Sobha : Net profit surges 33 per cent

Sobha Ltd. reported its results for the quarter ended June 30, 2017 today. Total sales for this quarter, Q1FY18, came in at Rs. 678.9 crore. This represents a 15.3 per cent sequential increase and 18.34 per cent YoY increase.

Operating profit (EBIT) for the recently concluded quarter amounted to Rs. 108 crore and the EBIT margin stood at 15.91 per cent.
In terms of the bottom-line, the company reported a PAT figure of Rs. 47.7 crore which represents a sequential QoQ increase of 1.49 per cent and a YoY increase of 32.87 per cent.
The board of directors of the company have approved a buyback of equity share up to 1.45 million shares for an aggregate amount not more than Rs. 620 million. The company has set a buyback price at Rs. 425, which is almost 10 per cent premium to current market price of Rs. 388.
Sobha Ltd is engaged in the construction and development of residential and commercial projects. It also operates in contractual projects.
