Mid-Caps weekly wrap: HPCL gains 12.6%; RCom loses 11.4%

Nifty managed to settle above the 10 K mark at the 10,066 level, up by 52 points, while Sensex closed at the 32,325 level, up by 87 points on Friday.

Broader market indices also managed to end in the green zone. BSE Mid-Cap index ended at the 15,436 level, up by 0.66% while the BSE Small-Cap index ended at the 15,926 level, up by 0.1%. India VIX closed at 11.33, down by 2.64%.
 
Nifty and Sensex gained 0.52% and 0.05% respectively in the past week, posting fifth consecutive weekly gain. On the sectoral front, Bank Nifty gained 0.07%, Nifty IT gained 0.55%, Nifty Energy gained 4.2%, Nifty Auto gained 1.85%, Nifty Metal gained 2.96%, while on the losing side, Nifty Pharma lost 4.3%, Nifty FMCG shed 1.85% and Nifty Realty lost 0.21% in past week.
 
BSE Mid-Cap index gained 0.3% whereas BSE Small-Cap index lost 1.03% in past week.
