Hindustan Construction Company (HCC) has been awarded the Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research (IGCAR) contract worth Rs 763.57 crore for construction of a fast reactor fuel cycle facility at Kalpakkam.

The scope of the work includes construction of nuclear safety-compliant structures for a fuel processing plant for fast breeder reactors and allied facilities, including civil, electrical and mechanical works. The project is to be completed in 48 months. After completion, this would serve as a fuel processing facility for fast breeder reactors.
Meanwhile, the stock gained 1.78% at Rs 40.10 per share on the BSE. On the NSE, the stock attracted a total traded volume of 39,34,856 shares and a traded value of Rs 1,568.83 lakh.
