BSE Oil & Gas stock touches its all-time high of 15,077

During the trading session on Monday, BSE Oil & Gas index has touched its all-time high. The index touched its lifetime high of 15,077.

Trading at Rs 460 per share, up by 6.57%, Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) was the top gainer on the index. The stock touched its fresh 52-week high of Rs 461.15 per share on BSE. HPCL was contributing most to the index gains. While, Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) was the second top gainer in the index trading at Rs 429 per share, up by 2.68%.
 
Other oil & gas stocks including Petronet LNG, BPCL, OIL and GAIL were also trading in the positive territory, up by 1%.
 
Government’s newly announced Bharat-22, an exchange traded fund (ETF) contains energy stocks namely, ONGC, Coal India, IOC, GAIL (India) and Oil India. This new ETF is another tool for the government’s proposed disinvestment plan in public sector units.
 
Meanwhile, Nifty is trading range bound at 10,073, marginally up by 6 points, Sensex is trading at 32,338 level, up by 12 points.
