Sundaram Clayton Ltd reported its results for the quarter ended June 30, 2017 today. The company's total sales for Q1FY18 came in at Rs. 402.37 crore, which represents a 4.4 per cent sequential increase and 5.4 per cent YoY increase.

Its EBITDA for the quarter declined by 30.3% to Rs 34.6 crore and its EBITDA margin stood at 8.6 per cent.
The company reported a net loss of Rs 3.81 crore, which represents a sequential QoQ decline of 109.9% and a YoY decline of 133.3%. This was due to a 63% QoQ decline in other income and 94% YoY decline.
Sundaram Clayton Ltd is engaged in the manufacture and distribution of aluminum alloy cast articles, including parts and components. Its business segments include automotive components, motor vehicles and others.
The company's stock opened at Rs 4550.05 on the BSE and rose by 1.10 per cent after the results were declared and was trading around Rs 4599.95 intra-day.
