Chambal Fertilisers reports 130% QoQ rise in PAT, touches 52-week high

Chambal Fertilisers and Chemicals reported its results for the quarter ended June 30, 2017 on Tuesday. The company reported total sales of Rs 1971.34 crore for Q1FY18, which represents a 83 per cent sequential increase and 9.4 per cent YoY increase.

The company's operating profit (EBIT) for the quarter was Rs 195.3 crore and the EBIT margin stood at 9.9 per cent.
It reported PAT of Rs 135.3 crore, which represents a sequential QoQ increase of 130.3 per cent and a YoY increase of 5.9 per cent.
Chambal Fertilisers and Chemicals provides urea and di-ammonium phosphate (DAP). Its two hi-tech nitrogenous fertiliser (urea) plants are located at Gadepan in Kota district of Rajasthan. The two plants produce about 2 million MT of urea per annum.
The stock opened for trading at Rs 142 and touched an intra-day high and low of Rs 145.7 and Rs 138, respectively, on the BSE.
