The index slipped 1.71% to the 13,472 levels at 1051 hours. Sun Pharmaceutical Industries (Sun Pharma) is contributing majorly to index losses and dragging it to the lower levels. It is trading lower by 2.88% at Rs 486 per share.
The stock witnessed a total traded quantity of 4.01 lakhs on the BSE. Among other stocks in the index, Themis Medicare is up 2.07% at Rs 501.85 per share, Fortis Healthcare is up 1.85% at Rs 162.80 per share, Anuh Pharma is up 1.69% at Rs 174 per share, and Ajanta Pharma is up 1.23% at Rs 1,312.70 per share.
On the contrary, Natco Pharma is the top index loser, slipping 4.90% at Rs 879.90 per share while Aurobindo Pharma is down 3.17% at Rs 703.50 per share. The index has 13 advances, 55 declines and no unchanged stocks.
