HCC bags order from Jammu and Kashmir government

Hindustan Construction Company has bagged an order from Jammu and Kashmir State Power Development Corporation (JKSPDCL) amounting to Rs 810.37 crore, the company said in a filing to the bourses on Thursday.

The contract is for construction of the 93 MW (3x31 MW) New Ganderbal Hydro Power Project on the river Sind in Central Kashmir on an EPC basis. The said work is to be completed in 48 hours.
The new Ganderbal is run off the river hydro project on Sind, a tributary of river Jhelum. The scope of the work includes planning, design, engineering and execution of civil and infrastructure works as well as manufacturing , assembling, inspection, testing, and commissioning of electro mechanical and hydro-mechanical equipments.
Meanwhile, the stock gained 2.31% at Rs 35.45 per share on the BSE. The stock on the NSE attracted a total traded volume of 52,12,543 shares and a traded value of Rs 1,810.32 lakh.
