BSE Auto unable to shed off losses in second consecutive session

S&P BSE Auto index has continued with losses on the second consecutive day, lower by over 2% at the 23,151 levels during Friday’s trading session at 0934 hours.
S&P BSE Auto index has continued with losses on the second consecutive day, lower by over 2% at the 23,151 levels during Friday’s trading session at 0934 hours. Tata Motors is contributing majorly to the index losses on the back of weak Q1FY18 results posted on Wednesday. The stock was trading lower by 3.57% at Rs 367 per share.
Tata Motors is contributing more than 111 points to Auto index loss. At the same time, Maruti Suzuki India and Eicher Motors were contributing almost 60 points each for the S&P BSE Auto index loss.
Among other auto stocks, Eicher Motors was trading lower by 3.12% at Rs 29,250, Ashok Leyland was trading lower by 1.89% at Rs 101 per share, Motherson Sumi dropped by 2.57% at Rs 309, TVS Motor was down by 2.35% at Rs 564, and Bosch dipped by 2.45% at Rs 23,029 per share.
On the other hand, Bharat Forge was trading in the green zone, up by 1.57% at Rs 1,160 per share and Exide Industries was higher by 0.28% at Rs 200 per share.
