Among the top open interest gainers, the share prices of Allahabad Bank, HDIL and State Bank of India have witnessed long unwinding positions.

Following were the top five open interest gainers:



There were 677 advances, 948 declines and 320 unchanged stocks, indicating a negative breath in the market. The sectoral indices on the NSE were trading with mixed sentiments, wherein Nifty PSU Bank was the top gainer and Nifty Metal index was the top loser.
 
Among the top open interest losers, the share prices of SRF, LIC Housing Finance, Jindal Steel & Power and NIIT Technologies have witnessed short covering positions during Friday’s trade. Meanwhile, United Breweries has witnessed a long unwinding position on today’s trade.

The sectoral indices on the BSE were trading in mixed sentiments wherein the BSE Metal index was the top loser and BSE Consumer Durables index was the top gainer. The BSE Sensex lost 97 points or 0.31% at the 31,698 level and Nifty lost 30 points or 0.31% at the 9,877 level.
