Bullish trend grips the broader market indices

Today’s trading session has witnessed broader markets trading in a bullish mood. The BSE Mid-Cap index was trading up by 1.90% at 15,006 and the BSE Small-Cap index was higher by 2.10% at 15,351 at 1117 hours.

With most of the stocks in the Mid-Cap index trading in green, UPL was contributing majorly to the index. Among others, Bajaj Finserv, Indiabulls Housing Finance and Bajaj Holdings and Investment were contributing more than 10 points to the index gains.
Jindal Steel was the top gainer in the index, trading higher by 5.14% at Rs 134 per share. Oracle Financial Services Software, Tata Global, UPL, Page Industries were among the other top gainers in the index, trading up by over 4%. On the other hand, IDBI was the top loser, lower by 0.86% at Rs 52 per share.
In the Small-Cap index, Suzlon and IGL were contributing more than 8 points to the index gains. Among others, Federal Bank, Voltas and Avanti were contributing more than 5 points to the S&P BSE Small-Cap index. High Ground Enterprise was the top gainer in the index, up by 16.78% at Rs 9.95 per share. Avanti escalated by over 15% at Rs 1,903 per share and Visaka Industries and Suzlon were trading higher by 12%.
On the other hand, Pincon and Signet Industries were the top losers. Pincon was trading lower by 19.96% at Rs 57 per share and Signet Industries was trading down by 19.96% at Rs 8.94 per share.
