With 12 advances and three declines in the Nifty FMCG, the index was attracting attention with gain of 2% in Wednesday’s trading session.

It was trading at 25,406.40, up by 498 points or 2% as at 1159 hours. Tata Global Beverages was the top gainer on the index and was trading at Rs 191.45 per share, up by Rs 12.70 or 7.10%, followed by Godrej Industries which was trading higher by 4.06% at Rs 599.70.
Among others, ITC was up 2.62% at Rs 278.35, Jubilant Foodworks was up 2.61% at Rs 1,406.50, United Spirits was up 2.24% at Rs 2,530.35, Emami was up 1.95% at Rs 1,134.95, Britannia Industries was up by 1.95% at Rs 4,241, HUL was up 1.49% at Rs 1,172.90 and United Breweries was up 1.29% at Rs 807.70.
Meanwhile, Procter & Gamble Hygiene and Health Care, Godrej Consumer Products, and Marico were trading in the red.
