Zydus Cadila gets USFDA approval to market drug for hypertension

The USFDA has granted approval to Zydus Cadila to market Pindolo Tablets USP, 5 mg and 10 mg, which belong to a class of medication called beta-blockers, used to treat hypertension.

The USFDA has granted approval to Zydus Cadila to market Pindolo Tablets USP, 5 mg and 10 mg, which belong to a class of medication called beta-blockers, used to treat hypertension. The drug will be manufactured at the group’s formulations facility at the Pharma SEZ, Ahmedabad. The sales of tablets are estimated at USD 83.59 million (Rs 536 crore).
 
Meanwhile, the stock was trading lower by 0.25% at Rs 471 per share on the BSE at 1103 hours. It opened at Rs 477 per share and has attracted total traded volume of 3,85,586 shares and traded value of Rs 1,815.15 lakhs on the NSE at 1104 hours.
