Bombay Dyeing goes on an upward spiral by 11%

The scrip of Bombay Dyeing & Manufacturing Company (Bombay Dyeing) witnessed a hike in volume by 1.69 times on the BSE – going up by more than 11% during Monday’s trading session at 1004 hours.

The company’s shares touched a fresh 52-week high at Rs 94.45 during the morning session. Meanwhile, its adjusted 52-week low stood at Rs 41.2 (November 22, 2016). The shares of the company witnessed traded volume of 59,36,791 and value of Rs 5,429.20 lakh on the NSE.
 
On the financial front, Bombay Dyeing’s standalone revenue in Q1FY17 was at Rs 622.9 crore, registering 30.8% YoY increase. The EBITDA for the quarter rose by 7.3% YoY to Rs 74.5 crore. The company's net loss narrowed to Rs 32.7 crore versus Rs 43.6 crore in Q1FY17.
 
Bombay Dyeing is a holding company that is engaged in finishing of cotton and blended cotton textiles; manufacturing of bedding, quilts, pillows and sleeping bags; real estate activities; and manufacturing of polyester staple fiber (PSF). Its plants include a textile processing unit and a PSF plant in Maharashtra.
