BSE Oil & Gas index climbs up over 1%

With Indian Oil Corporation contributing most to the BSE Oil & Gas index gains with over 48 points, the index has witnessed an upward momentum during the morning hours on Thursday

With Indian Oil Corporation contributing most to the BSE Oil & Gas index gains with over 48 points, the index has witnessed an upward momentum during the morning hours on Thursday, advancing by over 1%. The index was at 15,259, up by 165.90 or 1.10% as at 1015 hours on Thursday. 
 
Indian Oil Corporation was trading at Rs 460.05 per share, up by Rs 8.20 or 1.81% and the stock traded at a new 52-week high value of Rs 462.60 per share during Thursday’s trade. Bharat Petroleum Corporation was the top gainer in the index and was trading at 530.75 per share, up by Rs 9.75 or 1.87% and the stock traded at a new 52-week high value of Rs 534.50.
 
Among others, Indraprastha Gas was up 1.72% at Rs 1,278.20 per share, Reliance Industries was up 1.03% at Rs 1,580.25, Hindustan Petroleum Corporation was up 0.72% at Rs 488.25, Oil India was up 0.67% at Rs 293.90, Oil and Natural Gas Corporation was up 0.47% at Rs 159.35 and GAIL was up 0.41% at Rs 382.35 per share.
