In case of linking through the website, you need to go to the Income Tax Department’s e-filing website and click on the ‘Link Aadhaar’ option available on the page. After providing all the necessary details, enter the ‘captcha’, thus completing the process. In case of visual impairment, the person may even opt for OTP instead of captcha for the final verification.
Individuals not registered with the Income Tax Department’s e-filing website will be required to register with the website before proceeding further. Individuals may even link both the identities through an SMS service, provided by the Income Tax Department. According to the announced procedure, you may just send a message to 567678 or 56161 to get the PAN and Aadhaar linked.
