BSE Realty index gains momentum on Friday

The S&P BSE Realty index was trading in the green during Friday’s trading session. It was trading higher by 2.58% at the 2,192 level on the BSE at 1207 hours.
The S&P BSE Realty index was trading in the green during Friday’s trading session. It was trading higher by 2.58% at the 2,192 level on the BSE at 1207 hours. Indiabulls Real Estate was the top gainer in the index, trading up by 7.25% at Rs 250 per share.
The stock of Indiabulls witnessed a spurt in volume by more than 1.60 times on Friday. DLF was contributing more than 16 points to the index gains. Among others, HDIL, Oberoi Realty and Godrej Properties were contributing more than 3% to the index gains.
The stock of HDIL was trading up by 3.54% at Rs 64 per share. DLF was trading up by 3.35% at Rs 191 per share. Among others, Oberoi Realty was trading up by 1.84% at Rs 386 per share, Godrej Properties was trading higher by 1.69% at Rs 588 per share and Unitech was trading up by 1.08% at Rs 7.47 per share. The stock of Phoenix was trading flat.
On the other hand, Prestige, Omaxe and Sobha were trading in the negative territory. Prestige was the top loser on the index, trading lower by 1.19% at Rs 271 per share. Omaxe was trading lower by 1.03% at Rs 200 per share, and Sobha was also trading down by 0.24% at Rs 392 per share.
Meanwhile, the benchmark index Sensex was trading up by 134 points at 31,862 and Nifty was trading up by 40 points at 9,958.
