GE Power bags Rs. 328 crore order, stock gains pace

The stock of GE Power was buzzing on the bourses in early morning trade on Thursday as it surged over 3 per cent on the BSE on the back of order win worth Rs 328 crore by Doosan Power systems India.

The announcement which was made after market hours yesterday said, the order includes supply of 4 units of 660 MW state of art Electrostatic Precipitator (ESP) for the prestigious supercritical power projects of UP Government, Obra C 2x660 MW project of Uttar Pradesh Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam (UPRUVNL) and Jawaharpur 2x660 MW of Jawaharpur Vidyut Utpadan Nigam (JUVNL).
GE Power India Limited (formerly known as ALSTOM India Limited) engages in manufacturing, engineering and supplying products and solutions for infrastructure.
At 11:05 am (IST), the scrip was trading 1.16 per cent higher at Rs 642.5 on the BSE. It opened at Rs 652.65 and touched a high and low of Rs 652.65 and Rs 641.25, respectively. The stock attracted a traded volume of 1,025 shares on the BSE. Meanwhile, the S&P BSE Sensex was at 31,222.96, trading up by 63.15 points, or 0.20
