GE Power bags order worth Rs 327 crore, stock up

In a significant addition to its order book, GE Power bagged two orders of an accumulative worth of Rs 327.5 crore from Doosan Power Systems India Pvt (DPSI).

In a significant addition to its order book, GE Power bagged two orders of an accumulative worth of Rs. 327.5 crore from Doosan Power Systems India (DPSI) to supply ambient air quality control systems for installation at power plants.     
  
In a statement regarding the orders, the company said that it will b e  supply ing  ambient air quality control systems  to DPSI at their  Jawaharpur and Obra C power plants operated by Jawaharpur Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Ltd (JVUNL) and Uttar Pradesh Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Ltd (UPRVUNL), respectively . The company is also supplying super critical steam turbines to DPSI for the same project. 
  
GE Power hit an intraday high of Rs. 668.75 per share and was up by nearly 2 per cent on the BSE.  The stock hit an intraday low of Rs. 651.60 per share.   
  
The stock had hit its 52-week high of Rs. 746.50 per share on July 26, 2017 and its 52-week low of Rs. 440.50 per share on November 21, 2016.     
  
At 1455 hours IST, the stock was trading at Rs. 662 per share, higher by 0.26 per cent on BSE on Friday. Meanwhile,  S&P BSE Sensex was trading at 32,480.51 level, higher by 0.93 per cent and NSE Nifty50 was trading at 10,183.90  level, higher by 0.87 per cent, respectively.
