Market closed positive after a volatile session at 5066. We saw buying in sectors like FMCG, Oil & Gas and IT. We saw buying in mid-cap & small-cap stocks like Essar Shipping was up by 6.94 per cent, Novartis was up by 6.35 per cent and BEML was up by 4.82 per cent. Market closed at 5066 up by 6 points, before making an intraday high of 5105 and low of 5024. The benchmark index Sensex closed at 16,876 up by 40 points, before making an intraday high of 17,000 and low of 16,744....
