Motherson Sumi PAT jumps 71 per cent QoQ

The company reported PAT of Rs. 593.5 crore which represents a sequential QoQ increase of 71 per cent and a YoY increase of 23.7 per cent.
Motherson Sumi Systems reported its results for the quarter ended September 30, 2017 on Friday.
Total sales for Q2FY18, came in at Rs. 13,431.3 crore. This represents a 0.81 per cent sequential increase and 30.2 per cent YoY increase. Operating profit (EBIT) for the recently concluded quarter amounted to Rs. 852.9 crore and the EBIT margin stood at 6.4 per cent.

Motherson Sumi is a system solutions provider to automotive and other industries, offering services from design and prototyping to production and delivery of solutions across a range of products.
On Friday, the stock opened at Rs. 362.45 per share and touched an intra-day high and low of Rs. 368.80 and Rs. 351.40, respectively, on the BSE.
