The much-awaited debut of Bharat 22 ETF was the highlight of the opening session on Tuesday. Bharat 22 ETF listed at Rs. 36.30 per unit on BSE, which is a 0.91 per cent premium to its issue price of Rs. 35.97 per unit.
At 9:37 hours, the open-ended exchange traded fund (ETF) was trading at Rs. 37.15 per unit.
The ETF mirrors the S&P BSE Bharat 22 Index which comprises 22 stocks from the public sector companies and company where the government holds stakes under SUUTI. The fund is managed by ICICI Prudential AMC and has an issue size of Rs. 8,000 crore.
On Monday, the government transferred Coal India shares worth nearly Rs. 507 crore to Bharat 22 ETF.
Meanwhile, at 9:53 hours, S&P BSE Sensex was at 33,666.33 points, down by 0.17 per cent and Nifty50 was at 10,383.35 points, down by 0.16 per cent.
