Daily trading turnover on BSE’s India INX crosses Rs 1,800 crore

BSE’s India International Exchange, country’s first international exchange, witnessed an all-time high turnover of over Rs. 1,800 crore in daily trading turnover in the ongoing market session.
BSE’s India International Exchange, country’s first international exchange, witnessed an all-time high turnover of over Rs. 1,800 crore in daily trading turnover in the ongoing market session. Accounting for about 90 per cent of the total trading volumes in Gift City, the exchange hit its highest daily trading volume since inception on December 19, 2017.
The cumulative turnover of the India INX since inception is approximately 10 billion US dollars. The index has recorded a significant growth in trading volumes since the commencement of its operations in January 2017. The high trading volumes of the index reflects the increasing interest in the IFSC amongst brokers and investors.
According to the MD & CEO of BSE, Mr. V. Balasubramaniam, the growth momentum in BSE’s India INX is expected to continue in 2018. The exchange operates 22 hours every day – opening with the Japanese markets and closing with Chicago markets.
