Market opened positive and remained firm throughout the day. We saw buying in sectors like Realty, IT and Metal. We saw buying in stocks like Pipavav was up by 7.07 per cent, JM Financial was up by 6.3 per cent and Peninsula was up by 6.27 per cent. Market closed near day's high at 4917 up by 111 points, before making an intraday high of 4925 and low of 4807. The benchmark index Sensex closed at 16388 up by 365 points, before making an intraday high of 16,410..
