DSIJ - A Must Read!

I have been reading this journal for the last four-five years, and I like all the sections, though Hot Chips and Low Priced Scrip are my favourite. The Portfolio Guide and Technicals sections and the Databank are also very useful. I can say that this is a must-read for both novice and professional investors.

DSIJ is a part of my life, and I eagerly await each issue. The journal updates me not only with stock market-related information, but also with general market trends, industry movement and the political direction of the stock market.

Counting On A Comeback

I read the article 'ITC Is Still A Tobacco Company' published in DSIJ (Issue Dated Oct 24-Nov 6, 2011). I found it very interesting, as I had no idea that the other sectors that ITC had forayed into were not making any profits. The numbers and figures in your report really created an impact, and a reader could see the big picture. I hope this acts as awake up call for the company and it takes some damage control measures, because I still feel ITC has a good brand image and if they divest and become more transparent in their disclosures, they can capitalise on their good brand image. I still have a soft spot for ITC and prefer to buy 'Classmate' notebooks because the products they make certainly do not suffer from lack of quality. Hoping that with this article, ITC makes a comeback.

ITC – Detailled Analysis

I work in the field of public health. I recently read the article ITC Is Still A Tobacco Company' in Dalal Street Investment Journal. I would really appreciate it if I could get a copy of the detailed six-page analysis on ITC, which has been quoted here. Awaiting your reply.

Industry Insider Perspectives

I have gone through the latest issue of DSIJ (Dated Nov 7-20, 2011). I am fine with the cover story (Q2 Results: India Inc. On A Slippery Path), but a little disappointed with the treatment. The writer did not bother to talk to industry experts and get an opinion. It always helps when you have a perspective from an industry insider. Hope to see this in the results analysis.
