N M Borah-CMD, Oil India

N M Borah holds a Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering from the Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad. He also holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Petroleum Prospecting and Reservoir Evaluation from the Norwegian Institute of Technology, Trondheim, Norway. He is associated with the Society of Petroleum Engineers, USA and the Society of Petroleum Geophysics. He has over 36 years of experience in the oil and gas exploration and production industry. He is responsible for Oil India’s foray into international exploration activities. He joined Oil India Board on May 6, 2004 as Director (Operations) and was elevated to the position of Chairman and Managing Director with effect from December 1, 2008.
