The Indian markets lost all the yesterday's gains and ended in deep red. All the major sectoral indices ended in red, oil & gas and metal counters being the worst hit. The Sensex closed at 17,470 down 143 points after trading in the range of 17,623-17,447. Nifty was at 5,241 down 48 points after making an intraday high of 5,296.
