Nifty Above 5700 Mark, Realty Stocks Rise

The Indian markets opened on a positive note this Monday, led by Capital Goods and Realty stocks. In the morning trading session, the Nifty is trading at 5713 and Sensex is trading up at 18,939. Both the indices are trading up in the range of 0.55% to 0.56%.

Both the indices are trading up in the range of 0.55% to 0.56%.
The advance-decline is on a positive side in the morning trading session. On the NSE, 889 shares are trading in green and 289 shares are trading in red.
Top 5 NSE Gainers: DLF is the top gainer on NSE, trading up by 4.43%, followed by Jaiprakash Associates, BHEL, Reliance Infrastructure and LT.
Top 5 NSE Losers: Sesa Goa is trading down by 2.19% and is among the top losers on the NSE, followed by Tata Motors, IDFC, Tata Consultancy Services and Sun Pharma.
On the sectoral front, most sectors are trading in green. Realty, Capital Goods and Power Sector are trading firm in the morning trade. Auto and Metals are trading weak in the morning session.
Meanwhile, most of the Asian markets are trading negative. Japan’s Nikkei 225 is trading lower by 1%, followed by Hang Seng, Taiwan Weighted and Shanghai Composite. Strait Times is the lone market trading in green.
Buzzers: Polaris Financial Technology has surged by 5% on reports that the Chennai-based IT software products company is looking for a stake sale in its services business. The stock is now trading at Rs 117.
Sterlite Industries has dipped by almost 4% at Rs 90.3 in the morning deals on the NSE after the Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board (TNPCB) ordered closure of the company’s copper smelter run, located in Tuticorin, Tamil Nadu with immediate effect owing to alleged leaks of noxious gas.
Nifty has an immediate hurdle around the levels of 5720-5730. Once we sustain above these levels, we may see a rally of 30-40 points.
