Sensex Up 100 Points, Capital Goods Up 2%

The Indian markets have opened on a positive note after seeing a big sell-off yesterday. It had, however, seen some recovery during closing. The global markets were seen in a mixed zone in the morning session. The Nifty opened with a positive bias at 5974 and Sensex was up at 19,720. Both the indices opened up in the range of 0.60%-0.56%.

The global markets were seen in a mixed zone in the morning session. The Nifty opened with a positive bias of 35 points at 5974 and Sensex was up by 110 points at 19,720. Both the indices opened up in the range of 0.60%-0.56%.
The advance-decline ratio is positive in the morning session. On the NSE, 874 shares are trading in gains and 445 shares are down.
Top 5 NSE Gainers: Larsen and Toubro is the top NSE gainer so far, up by 3%, followed by Cipla, Ranbaxy Labs, Hero MotoCorp and DLF.
Top 5 NSE Losers: Infosys is the top loser this morning, trading down by 0.7%, followed by HCL Tech, UltraTech Cement, TCS and HUL.
Eleven out of 13 sectors are trading in the green zone. Capital Goods and Healthcare are the top gainers, up by 175 points and 142 points respectively. Banks and Oil & Gas are also gainers, up by 96 points and 71 points respectively. However, IT is the top loser, down by 27 points.
On the global front, the Asian shares are trading with a mixed sentiment. The Nikkei market is showing some gains, up by 264 points. Hang Seng is down by 38 points in today’s session, while KOSPI, Shanghai, and Taiwan indices are trading on a negative note.
Buzzers: L&T opened with a positive sentiment. The stock hit a high at Rs 1432 and broke its stiff resistance in the morning session at Rs 1420. If it manages to break this level, we will see a further up-move up to Rs 1450.
Suzlon Energy gained 1% after its German subsidiary RE Power received contracts to supply 26 MW energy to ABO Wind in Burgundy, France.
Nifty has a strong support at the 5950 level. However, it will face a major hurdle at 6000. Once it breaks this level, we will see a further move.
