Market Still Lower, Metals Down 3.4%

The Indian indices fell in the morning session and the selling continued mid-session. The Nifty is trading at 5823 and Sensex is 223 points at 19218. All the Asian markets are also trading in negatives.
The Indian indices fell in the morning session and the selling continued mid-session. The global markets are also in negatives. The Nifty is trading at 5823 and Sensex is 223 points at 19218. Both the indices are trading lower in the range of 1.15%-1.13%.
The advance-decline ratio is on the negative side. On the NSE, 268 shares are trading in the green and 1143 shares are in the red.
Top 5 Nifty Gainers: HCL Tech is leading the gainers list so far, down by 1.4%. Cipla, Hero MotoCorp, GAIL and NTPC are also trading higher.
Top 5 Nifty Losers: Jindal Steel is trading lower by 17.2%, followed by Hindalco, Tata Power, DLF and IndusInd Bank.
12 of the 13 sectors indices are trading in red in the afternoon session. Metals is the top loser, 3.4% lower. Banks have dipped by 266 points and Auto by 188 points. Consumer Durables and Oil & Gas have been witnessing losses since the morning, currently down by 272 points and 100 points respectively. IT is only gainer, up by 4 points.
All the Asian markets are trading in negatives. Hang Seng is down by 260 points, Nikkei has lost 196 points, Taiwan Weighted is 44 points lower and KOSPI is down 12 points.
Buzzers: Rcom opened on lower and is currently down by 6%. The stock made a new low of Rs 100.80, which is a strong support level. If it closes above this level, it could see an up-move.
5764 is a laxman rekha for the Nifty, and if it closes above this level, it may see some recovery.
