Markets Volatile, No Rate Cut By The RBI

The Indian markets dipped around 30 points after the announcement of the RBI policy but recovered all the loss. The Nifty is trading on a positive note in the afternoon session. The global markets are seen in a positive zone too. The Nifty is trading at 5820 and Sensex is trading up at 19,225. Both the indices are trading higher in the range of 0.17%-0.25%.

The global markets are seen in a positive zone. The Nifty is trading at 5820, up by 13 points and Sensex is trading up by 50 points at 19,225. Both the indices are trading higher in the range of 0.17%-0.25%.
The advance-decline ratio is on the negative side. On the NSE, 605 shares are trading in the green and 754 shares are in red.
Top 5 Nifty Gainers: Sun Pharma is leading the gainers’ list so far, up by 3.1%. M&M, Bharti Airtel, BHEL and HDFC are also in gains.
Top 5 Nifty Losers: Sesa Goa is trading lower by 1.9%, followed by BPCL, Ranbaxy Labs, Tata Motors and Hindalco.
Five out of the 13 sectors are trading in red in the afternoon trading session. Capital Goods is the top gainer in the sectoral pack, up by 90 points. Consumer Durables and Heathcare is up by 72 points and 68 points respectively. Oil & Gas and Mid-Caps are up by 25 points and 10 points correspondingly.
All the Asian markets are trading in a positive zone from the morning trading session. Nikkei is the top gainer, up by 346 points. Hang Seng is up by 255 points, KOSPI and Taiwan indices are trading on a positive note. Only the Shanghai index is down by 6 points.
Buzzers: Sun Pharma opened on a positive note and made a new high at Rs 985. The stock broke its major hurdle in the mid-session at Rs 975. If closed above this level, we may see a further up-move in the next few trading sessions.
Nifty broke its first hurdle as we had mentioned in the last update. If it closes above the 5830 level, it will be a positive signal for the market.
