Nifty Struggles Below 5900, DLF Down 2.3%

The Indian markets opened gap-up from the last three consecutive days in the morning trading session today. After a long rally, the markets opened on a weak note. The global markets were seen trading in a mixed scenario this morning. The Nifty opened with a negative bias at 5880 and Sensex was down at 19,540. Both the indices opened down in the range of 0.28%-0.19%.

The global markets were seen trading in a mixed scenario this morning. The Nifty opened with a negative bias of 18 points at 5880 and Sensex was down by 37 points at 19,540. Both the indices opened down in the range of 0.28%-0.19%.

The advance-decline ratio is balanced in the morning session. On the NSE, 686 shares are trading in gains and 681shares are down.

Top 5 Nifty Gainers: Bharti Airtel is the top gainer for today’s session, up by 2.6%, followed by Lupin, IDFC, Sesa Goa and Sun Pharma.

Top 5 Nifty Losers: DLF is the top loser this morning, trading down by 2.8%, followed by Jindal Steel, BHEL, Coal India and Reliance Infra.

With respect to the sectors, 6 out of 13 sectors are trading in the red zone. Auto is the top loser, down by 76 points. Capital Goods and Bankex are also down by 72 points and 45 points respectively. Mid-caps and Small- Caps are trading on a negative note too.

On the global front, the Asian shares are trading with a mixed sentiment. The Nikkei market is the top gainer for today’s session, up by 227 points. Hang Seng is down by 32 points. Taiwan and KOSPI markets are trading on a negative note too.

Buzzers: DLF opened with a negative sentiment, down by 2.8%. The stock made a new low at Rs 183.20 and broke its supports in the morning session at Rs 188. If it breaks this level, we will see a downmove up to Rs 177 in the further trading sessions.

Nifty consolidated in the range of 5860-5890. If it breaks one of these levels, it will decide its further move.
