The India markets saw some recovery after witnessing a gap-dawn opening. The Nifty is trading at 5813 and Sensex is trading down at 19,320. Both the indices are trading down in the range of 0.92%-0.85%.
The India markets saw some recovery after witnessing a gap-dawn opening. The Nifty is trading at 5813, down by 55 points and Sensex is trading down by 166 points at 19,320. Both the indices are trading down in the range of 0.92%-0.85%.
The advance-decline ratio is on the negative side. On the NSE, 1470 shares are trading in the green and 1839 shares are in red.
Top 5 Nifty Gainers: IndusInd Bank is leading the gainers’ list so far, up by 3.4%. HCL Tech, Reliance Infra, Cairn India and Ambuja Cement are also in gains.
Top 5 Nifty Losers: BPCL is trading lower by 5.2%, followed by JP Associates, ONGC, UltraTech Cement and Tata Motors.
On the sectoral view, 8 of the 13 sectors are trading in green in the afternoon trading session. FMCG is the top gainer, up by 47 points, followed by IT and Healthcare, which are up by 25 points and 13 points respectively. Mid-Caps and Small-Caps are trading on a negative note.
All the Asian markets are trading in a negative zone from the morning trading session. Hang Seng is the top loser, down by 272 points. Nikkei is down by 200 points. Shanghai and Taiwan indices are trading on a negative note.
Buzzers: RCom was up by 8% from the morning trading session. The stock made a new 52-week high at Rs 149.60. If the scrip closes above Rs 150, we will see an upmove up to Rs 162.
Nifty had a major support at 5770. If it closes above 5845, it will be a positive sign for tomorrow’s trading session.
