Sensex Hovers Around 20200, Auto Up 1.1%

The Indian markets opened on a flattish note in today's morning session. The index is trading with low volumes. The Nifty opened with a positive bias at 6037 and Sensex was up at 20,176. Both the indices opened up in the range of 0.14%-0.13%.

The advance-decline ratio is positive in the morning session. On the NSE, 1728 shares are trading in gains and 1573 shares are down.
Top Nifty Gainers: HDFC is the top gainer for today’s morning session, up by 2.6%, followed by Bank Of Baroda, IndusInd Bank, M&M and Bajaj Auto.
Top Nifty Losers: BHEL is the top loser for today’s morning session, down by 3.8%, followed by Ambuja Cement, ACC, Reliance Industries and Ranbaxy Labs.
On the sectoral front, 8 out of the 13 sectors are trading in the green zone. Auto was the top gainer, trading up by 129 points, followed by Bankex and Mid-Caps, which were up by 116 points and 35 points respectively. Oil & Gas was the top loser, down by 107 points, followed by Consumer Durables (down by 47 points).
On the global front, the Asian shares are trading with a mixed sentiment. The Nikkei market is the top gainer for today’s morning session, up by 26 points. The Hang Seng market is trading on a flat note, down by 11 points, followed by Shanghai Composite, which is down by 10 points.
Buzzers: The stock of Wockhardt slid down by 10% after receiving a warning letter from the US health regulator over its facility at Waluj in Maharashtra about not meeting manufacturing norms. The scrip made a new 52-week low at Rs 780.05.
Nifty has major hurdles at 6075-6095. If it crosses these levels, we may see a move up to 6120 by today’s closing session.
