Indices Open On Positive Note, IT Index Up By 2%

The Indian markets witnessed positive trade in the morning session mainly driven by the IT, Auto and Metals indices. In the current scenario the Nifty is up by 60 points to trade at 5840 and Sensex is up by 190 points at 19704
The Indian markets witnessed positive trade in the morning session mainly driven by the IT, Auto and Metals indices. In the current scenario the Nifty is up by 60 points to trade at 5840 and Sensex is up by 190 points at 19704.
The advance-decline ratio is on the positive side this morning. On the NSE, 1456 shares are trading in gains and 886 shares are down.
Top Nifty Gainers: Ranbaxy Labs is the top gainer so far, up by 3.41%, followed by Ambuja Cements, TCS, HCL Tech and Sesa Goa.
Top Nifty Losers: HUL is the top loser so far, down by 1.3%, followed by Bharti Airtel, ITC, SBI and DLF.
Most of the sectoral indices are trading in green in the opening session. IT is the top gainer, up by 166 points. The Auto is up by 155 points. It is followed by Metals and Healthcare indices which were up by 149 points and 122 points respectively. Mid-Caps and Small-Caps are also seeing some positive moves, up around 40 points each. However FMCG lost 33 points in this morning session.
In the Asian markets saw a positive trade at today’s session, the Hang Seng has showing some positive move up by 222 points. Taiwanese markets saw some positive move up which is trading up by 144 points for today session. However Nikkei market and shanghai composite saw a nominal up move.
Buzzers: UltraTech Cements is scrip up by more than 3% in morning trading session. The stock crossed a bullish crossover at Rs 1870. If it manages to sustain above this level we may see Rs 1900 in next trading session.
The Nifty Futures have a major resistance at 5900 levels, if it breaks this level we may see 5940-5960 levels.
