Nifty Jumps 100 Points, Sesa Goa Gains 6.9%

The Indian markets are continuing to trade in positives after the morning session, with Metals and Bankex taking the markets higher. The Nifty is trading in gains of 104 points at 5884 and Sensex has moved up 295 points to 19814.
The Indian markets are continuing to trade in positives after the morning session, with Metals and Bankex taking the markets higher. The Nifty is trading in gains of 104 points at 5884 and Sensex has moved up 295 points to 19814. The indices are trading higher between 1.52%-1.82%.
The advance-decline ratio continues to remain positive. On the NSE, 1553 shares are in the green and 962 shares are in red.
Top Nifty Gainers: Sesa Goa is leading the gainers list so far, up by 6.4%. Axis Bank, JP Associates, Ambuja Cements and UltraTech Cement are also trading in gains.
Top Nifty Losers: There are only 4 stocks trading lower as of this hour. HUL has dipped by 1.7%, followed by ITC, Bharti Airtel and NTPC.
The sectoral indices are positive in mid-session. Metals is the top gainer, moving up by 305 points. Bankex and Auto have gained 240 points each and IT is up by 186 points. The Mid-Cap and Small-Cap indices have moved up by 60 points and 35 points respectively. The FMCG index, though, moved down by 49 points.
In the Asian markets, the Hang-Seng is up by 189 points as of now and Taiwan Weighted has gained 142 points. The Nikkei market is nominally in negatives.
Buzzer: Sesa Goa has surged by around 7% and is trade around its major hurdle of Rs 190. A close above this level today could see it moving higher in further trades.
If Nifty Futures sustains above the 5940 level, it could indicate more positive moves.
