Nifty Ends on a Volatile Note, Bankex Down By 2.5%

The Indian markets witnessed some pressure in today’s closing session. Indices like Bankex and Auto were the main draggers for the day. The Nifty closed at around day’s low, down by 23 point at 6089 and Sensex was down by 59 points and closed at 20547
The Indian markets witnessed some pressure in today’s closing session. Indices like Bankex and Auto were the main draggers for the day. The Nifty closed at around day’s low, down by 23 point at 6089 and Sensex was down by 59 points and closed at 20547.
On the NSE, 1302 shares closed in green, while 1770 shares ended the day in red, indicating a negative advance-decline ratio.
Top 5 Nifty Gainers: JP Associates remained the top gainer for the day and closed higher by 5.03%.Tata Steel, Asian Paints, Wipro and Bharti Airtel were among the others that ended higher.
Top 5 Nifty Losers: IndusInd Bank closed down by 4.6% today, followed by PNB, IDFC, Bank Of Baroda and Ranbaxy Labs.
Most the sectoral indices closed in negative. Bankex closed lower by 314 points. Followed by Auto and Consumer Durables both were down by 70 points each. Mid-Caps and Small-Caps also ended in the red down by 70 points and 54 points respectively. However Metals and IT closed in the positive zone up by 78 points and 52 points respectively.
In the Asian markets, Hang Seng closed 118 points higher, followed by Taiwan which ended higher by 93 points. KOSPI and Nikkei also closed the day on a positive note.
Buzzer: IndusInd Bank lost by 4.6%, as it saw profit booking in last session. The stock closed near the technical level of Rs 400. If it opens tomorrow’s trades below this level, it may see more fall in price.
Nifty Future saw good support around 6100-6080 levels. For tomorrow’s session traders eyeing on this level.
