Nifty Dips Below 6200, Wipro Down 5.5%

The Indian markets are trading on a volatile note this morning. The Nifty is down by 30 points and has dipped below the 6200 mark and Sensex is trading lower by 100 points at 20760.
The Indian markets have suddenly witnessed some selling pressure and are trading on a volatile note this morning. The Nifty is down by 30 points and has dipped below the 6200 mark, while the Sensex too has lost its positive momentum, trading lower by 100 points at 20760. Both the indices were down by -0.50%.
The advance-decline ratio, though, is in the green zone so far. On the NSE, 1619 shares are trading in gains and 1499 shares are down.
Top 5 Nifty Gainers: GAIL is the top gainer so far, up by 4.6%. Bank of Baroda, SBI, PNB and Sesa Sterlite are among the other stocks trading higher.
Top 5 Nifty Losers: Wipro is the top loser so far, down by 5.5%, followed by DLF, JP Associates, Tata Motors and Bajaj Auto.
The sectoral indices are trading on a mixed note in the opening session. Bankex has moved up by 63 points, while Metals and Consumer Durables are trading up by 30 points each. The Auto index is down by 140 points. IT, FMCG and Health Care are all trading in the red, down more than 50 points. Both Mid-Caps and Small-Caps are lower by around 10 points each.
The Asian markets are trading on a negative note so far in the day. Nikkei is the top loser, down by 287 points, followed by the Hang Seng, down by 51 points. Taiwan, KOSPI and Shanghai Composite all showed nominal down-trades by around 20 points each.
Buzzers: IT major Wipro has made a new intraday low of Rs 482, and is currently trading lower by 5.5%. It has broken all the major supports and may move below Rs 480 till closing today.
If Nifty Futures sustains below 6180, it may see some more negative moves upto the 6150 level.
